79.17. How to upgrade POTS card firmware

The PCIPOTS card firmware can be upgraded only if the current version isn't 25. Use the following command debug res:ctisys cmd:l1pXb lsn:13 (where in place of X you have to write the value of a CTIP belonging to the PCIPOTS) to check the current version of firmware.

In this example the firmware version is equal to 20.

The updating steps:

Go to http://support.abilis.net/ and download the latest firmware.
Upload the POTS.BIN into the CPX working directory without changing the file name. The upload can be done using the file put command (with ZMODEM: file put z pots.bin) or the FTP resource.

Issue the command debug res:ctisys cmd:l1pXb lsn:42, where in place of X you have to write the value of a CTIP belonging to the PCIPOTS that you want to update and wait until the firmware upload ends.

Reboot the Abilis (i.e. With warm start command).

After reboot, check the new current version of firmware with command debug res:ctisys cmd:l1pXb lsn:13 (where in place of X you have to write the value of a CTIP belonging to the PCIPOTS).
